Mountains and forests near Gamra: Khairah, Raghadan and Shada
Explore Khairah Forest, its waterfall, Al Jadar viewpoints, Raghadan, Shada Mountain, Prince Hussam Park and Al Janabin Dam when planning nature time around Gamra.
Choose an outing, not a long checklist
Gamra's position on Khairah Mountain provides a reference point for planning visits to Al Baha's natural attractions. They are not all equally close or reached by the same route. Choose according to weather, driving time and the effort appropriate for your group.
Distances in the resort guide are approximate, and road times change with fog and traffic. Do not use them as precise booking-time calculations. Leave a margin for transfers and rest.
Khairah, its waterfall and Al Jadar
The guide places Khairah Forest Park approximately 400 metres from the resort and the waterfall park around 2 km away. The area combines juniper trees, terraces and rock formations, allowing a walk and photography without requiring a long excursion.
Waterfall flow depends on natural conditions and is not guaranteed. Avoid flood channels, slippery rocks and exposed edges. Al Jadar Park is listed approximately 2.8 km away, with cliff viewpoints. Stay behind barriers and follow marked routes.
Raghadan and upper Shada Mountain
The guide places Raghadan Forest around 15 km from Gamra, with paths, viewpoints and the Cloud Walk. A visit may take two hours or more depending on the route and crowds. This is planning guidance, not an admission rule or a promise that every facility can be used.
Jabal Shada Al-A'la is known for granite formations, coffee farms and natural heritage. It requires separate consideration of the route, access and physical effort. Being an Al Baha attraction does not make it an automatic short outing from the resort or mean every protected area is open for entry.
Prince Hussam Park and Al Janabin Dam
Prince Hussam Park offers green spaces and walking paths within Al Baha. Al Janabin Dam provides a different waterside landscape. Check accessible entry points and instructions; do not assume swimming or access to the water's edge is permitted.
These are independent places, not organised excursions included with a Gamra reservation. Verify opening information and any fees. Choose one or two stops rather than attempting every forest, mountain and the dam in a single day.
